Alexandre Machado

Alexandre Machado is a television and film screenwriter. Together with Fernanda Young, he created and wrote Os Normais, an iconic series that remains a reference for bold and irreverent comedy. Its many seasons and years of dedication paved the way for the feature films Os Normais and Os Normais 2, both major box-office successes in Brazilian cinema.

Alexandre began his career in advertising and is a Clio Award winner, considered the “Oscar” of advertising. At TV Globo, he wrote for other successful series including Minha Nada Mole Vida, Os Aspones, and his most recent work for Globoplay, Shippados, starring Tatá Werneck and Eduardo Sterblitch.

In cinema, he also wrote Muito Gelo e Dois Dedos D’água by Daniel Filho and co-wrote Bossa Nova by Bruno Barreto, his first experience with feature films. Throughout his career as a writer, Alexandre has earned recognition for projects characterized by broad popular appeal and ironic humor that strongly resonates with audiences.
