Rafael is a screenwriter with extensive experience in serialized projects. He wrote Senna (Gullane/Netflix), a high-profile series that quickly became the most-watched title on Netflix Brazil, the third most-watched worldwide, and the first non-English-language series on the platform. Senna was nominated for Best Foreign-Language Series at the 2025 Critics Choice Awards and won the 2025 APCA Critics’ Award for Best Series.

Rafael has also contributed to the writers’ rooms of projects such as DNA do Crime 2 and 3 (Paranoid/Netflix), Contravenção (Paranoid/Netflix), Espinosa, Lúcia McCartney (ZOLA/GNT), A Divisão (AfroReggae/Multishow), Impuros Season 1 (Barry Company/FOX Premium), Me Chama de Bruna (TVZero/FOX Premium), and Eleita (Conspiração/Amazon).

He is the creator of the series Cenas de Um Crime (Zola/Viacom/Paramount+), available on HBO Max, and served as head writer on Arcanjo Renegado (Globoplay/AfroReggae), Impuros Season 3, and Da Ponte Pra Lá (Floresta/HBO). In the documentary field, he contributed to the writing of Adriano Imperador (Bananeira Filmes/Paramount+) and the podcasts Praia dos Ossos and Collor vs. Collor (Rádio Novelo).
