Tatiana Maciel

Tatiana Maciel is a screenwriter, writer, and filmmaker from Pernambuco, Brazil. In cinema, she wrote the feature films O Auto da Boa Mentira (2018) by José Eduardo Belmonte, winner of the Audience Award at the Grande Prêmio do Cinema Brasileiro in 2022; Desculpe o Transtorno (2015) by Tomás Portella; and A Dona da História (2004) by Daniel Filho, among others.

During her six years as a staff writer at TV Globo, Tatiana contributed to various projects, including the comedic series Filhos da Pátria (2018). In streaming, she joined the writers’ room for an Amazon series under the supervision of Adriana Falcão and developed two international projects, also under confidentiality, one for Warner Media and another for Hungry Man Los Angeles.

She is currently the screenwriter for a dramedy feature film in partnership with Saigon Filmes. Tatiana published the novel O Homem dos Sonhos in 2007 and, in 2022, the short story collection Todo Mundo que Amei Já Me Fez Chorar, co-authored with multi-artist Cleo. Known for her strong organizational skills in writers’ rooms, she stands out for linking narrative structuring with dramaturgy.
